Everything you need to know before you send us a set.
Straight answers on turnaround, formats, pricing, and how we fit into your workflow.
HOW WE WORK
01 Send your files. Share your plans, specs, or redlines. PDF, DWG, or hand sketches all work.
02 We scope & quote. You get a clear turnaround estimate and price before we start. No surprises.
03 We draft. Our team produces AWI-compliant shop drawings built to your fabrication standards.
04 You review & approve. Fast redline turnaround until the set is ready for the shop floor.
The Drafting Guild is a team of architects and drafters focused on U.S. millwork and cabinetry shop drawings. With almost 10 years of combined experience in the industry, we bring deep expertise in drafting and technical coordination to every set we produce. We work as a true extension of your team, delivering AWI Custom and Premium Grade shop drawings without adding headcount or overhead. For shops that need more, we also offer a full package service with staff dedicated exclusively to your company. We can draft using our own template and standards, or adapt to any template you already use. No long-term contracts, no minimum volume. Just drafting capacity when you need it.
Once we receive your files, we run a detailed analysis and send a formal quote with a delivery date. Our minimum turnaround is two weeks, regardless of project size, to protect quality control. Need it faster? Rush turnaround under two weeks is available for a 25 to 50 percent surcharge, paid upfront.
We manage every project through a shared Google Drive folder, so you always know where things stand. All official communication and technical instructions go through our official email, and we send a written recap after any call so nothing gets lost.
AutoCAD, following AWI Custom and Premium Grade drafting standards.
Pricing depends on scope and complexity. Send us your plans and we'll get back with a clear quote. Every quote includes the initial drawing set plus one round of revisions; redlines or RFIs submitted after that are treated as additional scope. We work on a 50 percent upfront deposit and 50 percent due on delivery of the first complete set, with progressive billing by milestone available on larger projects. Payments are made by ACH or wire transfer.
We coordinate plumbing, hardware, and equipment integration to flag conflicts early, but we're not responsible for field measurements. Dimensions need to be verified on-site by your team, and you'll need to provide spec sheets for hardware and appliances at the start of the project.
All CAD files remain the property of The Drafting Guild until final payment is received. If a project is canceled partway through, you'll be billed for the work completed up to the cancellation date.
We work in AutoCAD and can send or receive PDF, DWG, or hand-sketched plans. Final deliverables are provided as AWI-compliant shop drawing sets in PDF and DWG.
Yes. We're remote by design and work with millwork and cabinetry shops across the U.S. and internationally, all through the same shared-folder process and AWI drafting standards.
